What a record shows
That a record with this GTRN exists, when it was registered, which fingerprint it carries and its public lifecycle. A fingerprint match confirms that a file matches the record and nothing more.
GTR states exactly what it observed and what each party established.

Online verification lasts at most 730 days per term. The owner is notified three months, one month and three days before the end and can renew in the final three months. After expiry the verification data is removed; only a minimal tombstone remains, which cannot be used to match a document.
Corrections, replacements, cancellations and revocations are added as new events. A genuinely reissued document receives a new GTRN. Earlier records are not rewritten.
Public verification works from a SHA-256 fingerprint that you compute yourself, so the document does not have to be sent to GTR.
Signing in proves control of an email address only. It is not identity checking, qualification or professional status.
Payment never changes a record’s trust status, verification outcome or legal standing.
Trust boundary
An attestation, authority record or institutional event can support only the claim it actually proves. GTR does not convert narrow evidence into a universal “verified translator”, legal-validity or worldwide-acceptance badge.
